1. Leicester Otolaryngology Training Course of General Practitioners

This is a full 1 day up to date course for GPs, GPSIs, Doctors in training and allied professionals held in September at the Leicester Marriott Hotel. The course covers all aspects of ENT in relation to general practice. The course is:

  • Vertigo and Balance Disorders
  • Thyroid and Head and Neck Disease
  • Paediatric Airways and Failure to Thrive
  • Rhinology and Facial Pain
  • Speech and Voice Disorders
  • Sinus Disease

  • ENT Emergencies
  • Dysphagia and Swallowing Disorders

Further topics covered include GP dilemmas, referrals and case presentations.

2. Clinical Attachments

Mr Murty has acted as official mentor for doctors undergoing formal GPSI training and doctors undergoing occasional training seeking ad hoc clinical "sit in" sessions to improve their ENT experience. The sessions can be arranged via his secretary on 0116 258 5643.
